AT-RISK GROUPS
Grupo Britt seeks out innovative programs that provide direct and significant contributions to our communities’ sustainable development. We give priority to those organizations with proven track records for using best practices and responsible management.
We work with local organizations in projects that foster quality-of-life improvement in the Heredia communities of Santa Bárbara, Mercedes Norte and Mercedes Sur.
We donate products to schools, organizations and associations that raise funds for community benefit.
We make our installations available free of charge to non-profit groups for events that promote social well being.
We provide economic support to organizations that attend to at-risk groups. These organizations include the Sor María Romero Association, Solidarity on the Move Association, CEDES Don Bosco, Home for Saving the Alcoholic of Heredia, Costa Rican Humanitarian Association.
BAGS AND PACKAGING MATERIALS
We’re always looking for new ways to reuse packaging. Reuse and recuperation of packaging: We’re working with a group of women from the at-risk community of La Carpio. The women make “ToGo” bags from Britt packaging leftover from the post-production process. The program gives Britt an attractive bag made of recycled materials. The women get a stable source of income to help improve their living conditions. The bags are on sale in our stores.
We use recycled cardboard boxes for product delivery to supermarkets.Most of the promotional materials we use are made of recycled paper.
